Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager
- Remote
- Anywhere, Birmingham, United Kingdom
- Finance
Job description
Are you ready to turn financial strategy into environmental impact? As our FP&A Manager, you’ll take ownership of financial planning and analysis across Oxygen Conservation, shaping the insights, systems, and reporting that guide how we grow our mission. This isn’t just about numbers; it’s about leading a function that enables us to restore landscapes, Scale Conservation, and deliver world-class impact across the UK.
You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and investor reporting, working directly with the Finance Director and wider leadership team. With your guidance, our financial decisions will be sharper, our reporting more impactful, and our growth more sustainable. This is a chance to step into a leadership role where your financial expertise drives strategy, builds investor confidence, and ultimately protects people, wildlife, and the planet.
Job requirements
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in financial analysis, who thrives at the intersection of numbers, people, and purpose. You’ll bring not only strong technical finance skills but also the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for both financial and non-financial colleagues. You’ll enjoy building and leading systems that scale, developing people and processes as much as spreadsheets and dashboards.
Most importantly, you’ll be motivated by more than financial outcomes: you’ll want to use your expertise to make a real difference, helping us redefine what conservation can achieve.
Environment
Passionate about protecting the natural world and using finance to drive positive change.
Impact
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing finance teams or mentoring junior colleagues.
Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decisions.
Skilled in Excel, with advanced knowledge of data visualisation tools.
Confident communicator, able to influence senior leaders, investors, and external stakeholders.
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail.
Organised, adaptable, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Adventure
A love for adventure and the outdoors (however that resonates with you).
Together
A collaborative leader who builds strong, positive relationships with colleagues and partners.
And yes — being really nice matters here. Sharing snacks in the rain is still part of the deal!
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Oxygen Conservation, finance is about more than numbers — it’s about Scaling Conservation. As our new FP&A Manager, you’ll take the lead in building a high-performing FP&A function that delivers the insights and tools we need to grow impact at pace.

From preparing board-level packs to shaping investor communications, you’ll be at the heart of strategic decision-making.
You won’t just deliver the numbers — you’ll tell the story behind them, ensuring finance plays a central role in every conversation that matters.

ABOUT US
We’re building the UK’s first genuine natural capital portfolio - acquiring large landscapes, restoring them, and creating investable natural capital products like premium carbon credits, biodiversity units, renewable energy partnerships, and ecotourism experiences (you can check them out at Oxygen Escapes).
In just four years, we’ve grown to a valuation of around £300m with 50,000+ acres owned and helped connect over half a million acres for nature.
Our mission is simple: prove that restoring ecosystems can deliver world-class environmental, social, and financial returns.
Our work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2022, we were named Start-Up of the Year at the Business Leader South West Awards, followed by Team of the Year at the 2023 Edie Awards and our nature fundings agreement with Triodos won ESG Deal of the Year at the 2024 Insider South West Dealmakers Awards. Our founder and CEO, Dr Rich Stockdale, is featured in the ENDS Power List as one of the top 100 UK environmental professionals driving significant impact, and was shortlisted for Edie’s Leader of the Year Award in 2024.
