At Oxygen Conservation, we use data to tell nature’s story – and finance to help rewrite its future. We’re on a mission to prove that conservation is investable and we’re looking for an analytically sharp, mission-driven Natural Capital Analyst to join our team. This is your chance to work at the frontier of ecological finance: turning data into decisions, models into impact, and land into thriving, restored ecosystems. From woodland creation and peatland restoration to biodiversity net gain and emerging credit markets, you’ll help shape investments that protect and regenerate nature while defining a new asset class for the planet.

About The role 

You’ll help translate ecological data into financial models that guide investment, growth, and impact across our portfolio. You’ll explore new markets, test assumptions, and translate numbers into stories of nature recovery in a way that investors can understand and believe in.

As part of the Natural Capital team, you’ll join some of the best individuals in the sector - redefining how we value and restore nature. You’ll be supported to learn, experiment, and make a real difference for the planet. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Build and refine data models for Natural Capital projects, incorporating ecological data, crediting methodologies, and commercial assumptions to inform investment decisions. From spreadsheets to saplings, charts to catchments, and tables to thriving ecosystems, your work will inform decisions that drive both nature restoration and investment returns. 

  • Portfolio Forecasting: Support the aggregation of project models into portfolio-level forecasts, analysing financial performance of the £300m+ portfolio and showcase opportunities for future investors to add further value. 

  • Market & Policy Research: Track trends, pricing, and policy developments across carbon, biodiversity, nutrient, water, and soil markets to identify risks and new revenue opportunities. We’re not done placing a value on nature restoration yet! 

  • Investor Communications: Bring our wealth of data to life through preparing investor reports, pitch decks, and presentation materials. Respond to investor queries and support engagement with institutional investors, partners, and other key stakeholders. 

  • Commercial Strategy & Due Diligence: Provide research and insight to support due diligence, market analysis, and investment decision-making across the Natural Capital and impact investment space.

We’re building the UK’s first genuine Natural Capital portfolio - acquiring large landscapes, restoring them, and creating investable Natural Capital products like premium carbon credits, biodiversity units, renewable energy partnerships, and ecotourism experiences (you can check them out at Oxygen Escapes).  
 
In just four years, we’ve grown to a valuation of around £300m with 50,000+ acres owned and helped connect over half a million acres for nature.

KEY INFORMATION 

Term and Start Date: A fixed term (3 month) opportunity for 2026. We will work with you to agree on a start date that works for everyone. 

Location: Remote

Salary: £25,500 Pro Rata
